The 2015 Rex’s blend is made up of the 4 classic varieties of Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet. The fruit was handpicked and destemmed into 2 tonne fermenters. It was fermented cool and hand plunged for 2 weeks and then left on skins for an extended period. The resultant wines displays a delightful nose of almond meal and praline with hints of dark chocolate and cigar. The subtle palate also has lovely chocolate with and liquorice backbone. A wine that drinks well now and will reward into the future.
